POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Junior Systems Analyst will be responsible for the administration of the software systems used by the company, assisting with the development of features and customizations of these systems, and providing training and technical support to end users.


The incumbent shall aim to increase the operational efficiency of the company and the productivity of its users. He/she will and execute his/her responsibilities with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and in accordance with company standards.


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical expertise in assessing IT solutions or process changes that can improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Administer system configuration changes according to business needs on all company systems including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Magento, Price Checkers, Mobile PoS.
  • Ensure software systems are up-to-date and routinely maintained to maximize service availability, operational efficiency, data quality, an acceptable level of security, and adherence to company standards.
  • Deploy and manage new systems that do not require specialization.
  • Monitor systems for faults and resolve as needed.
  • Analyze issues and business requirements, research potential solutions, consult with stakeholders and develop requirements and acceptance criteria for internal development or hand-off to developers. Develop and implement solutions when external vendor or specialization is not required.
  • Ensure customizations, new features, data quality, documentation, designs, analysis, communication, requirements, and acceptance criteria are in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Answer, log, evaluate and prioritize reactive support calls, voicemail, e-mail and in-person requests from end-users.
  • Create initial tickets and record end-users’ problem information in the Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Analyze information on users’ issues and provide resolutions.
  • Escalate Support issues in a timely manner and follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Orient, train and provide guidance to new and existing end-users on the use of IT software and hardware following appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize work according to company objectives. Utilize the productivity tools available to establish and maintain a high level of productivity i.e. Outlook, DevOps, AutoTask.
  • Work with other members of the IT team as well as other departments of the company.
  • Communicate issues quickly and clearly and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Liaise with software and hardware vendors to request service and fixes regarding issues and other work requests.
  • Develop and maintain technology procedures manuals and checklists.
  • Provide after-hours support as necessary to the Retail Stores.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge/Experience:

  • B.Sc. in Computing or other Technology-related Degree.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in Software Support and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.
  • Experience with the administration of an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • Experience with the administration of an enterprise-class webstore / CMS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft T-SQL.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in ETL data operations.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment of change.
  • Valid Drivers’ Permit and working vehicle to travel to various branches and locations.
